The Association participated in the Lincoln County Apple Festival this
year. Our thanks to all who helped.
We had a fun time and it was great exposure for the Lincoln County home
Builders Association in our local community.
June, 2009
We would like to congratulate Candance Heavner,
Lawing Marble for being elected President of the Lincoln County Habitat
for Humanity. There has been great LCHBA member support in her efforts
to make this a banner year for HH. Candance was a great choice and a
wonderful representative of our Association.
Mark Ingle, Mark Ingle Builders has been green certified and is now in
the process of building his first green home in Lincoln County.
Way to go Mark!
The Jim Austin Scholarship was awarded to Stewart Cochrane a senior at
Lincolnton High School. He plans to attend NCState University , majoring
in construction engineering.

GARDNER, President-Elect, DARREL HAMILTON, VP Region VIII, KELLY PIKE,
Goverment Affairs, KATHERINE ATKINS, Director of Membership, AND KELLEY
ST GERMAIN, Ashe County HBA member and our website designer, for
attending our February membership meeting.
Their inspiration and support
for our association was evident and the information they shared with us
is vital to the future of all Associations in North Carolina. We
wish Frank a successful year as President and our appreciation goes to
all our visitors for taking the time to come and show us their support!

WITH THE GENEROSITY OF THE MEMBERS WHO ATTENDED THE 2008
CHRISTMAS PARTY/MEMBERSHIP MEETING, THE LINCOLN COUNTY HOME BUILDERS
ASSOCIATION WAS ABLE TO DONATE FOOD ITEMS AND $175 IN CASH TO THE
CHRISTIAN MINISTRY FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS AND MEALS FOR FAMILIES IN LINCOLN
COUNTY THAT WERE IN NEED DURING THE HOLIDAY.
THE LCHBA IS PLEASED TO PROVIDE AT NO COST TO
HELPING HANDS CLINIC THE LIGHT FIXTURES THAT ARE NEEDED FOR THE LOBBY
AND PHARMACY AREAS. WESTPORT LIGHTING OF DENVER, AN ASSOCIATE MEMBER,
HAS GENEROUSLY OFFERED TO LET US PURCHASE THESE FIXTURES AT COST. WE
WILL ALSO BE HELPING TO LOCATE LICENSED ELECTRICIANS TO INSTALL THE
FIXTURES.
